Music: Eliza Doo(es)little other than music...
English singer-songwriter Eliza Doolittle has admitted she never considered any other career outside of music.
The singer, who released her self-titled debut album last month, said
that she has never had a "back-up plan" as she doesn't think that she
can succeed in any other area.
She told Yahoo "I've really focused on what I wanted to do and never really thought
about a back-up plan because, to be honest, I had no choice - I'm not
really any good at anything else".
Probably a surprise to many, the 22-year-old's well-known grandmother is Sylvia Young - the famous stage school founder. Eliza
added: "I don't want anyone to think I've just come along for the ride
and got by on any connections I might have". Detaching herself from her famous relation she says "All the people I work with now are the people I started with at a
really young age and I've just made music with them rather than involve
my family in anything. I didn't like the idea of the pressure that comes
with everyone knowing my plans, and in some ways, I feel like I've got
more to prove."
