Politics: It's Not The End o' Enda..

After suffering a blow to his ego this week, Enda Kenny has now secured his position as leader of the Fine Gael party.
After winning a majority "vote of confidence" from party members, his triumph has been immediately accepted by the defeated opponents.
Richard Bruton acknowledged that the motion of confidence in Kenny to stay on as leader demonstrated resilience on his part and has to be respected.
“Clearly Enda Kenny has won the confidence of the parliamentary party
and that’s the test in this game. . . there will be no more heaves,” he
said. Both Bruton and Kenny shook hands outside Leinster house after the matter was settled by the party in a secret ballot.
Fine Gael T.D. Charlie Flanagan, who made it clear earlier in the week that he was supporting 'Camp Kenny', said “It was a very important meeting. It will be the making of Enda
Kenny".
“Everybody should be behind him. The internal focus of the
last few days, while difficult and dangerous, should immediately give
way to the more important focus on the presentation of an alternative
government and the removal of the discredited Fianna Fáil/Green
administration,” Mr. Flanagan said.
